Stargazing @ the CTMO

The Cristina Torres Memorial Observatory (CTMO) at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley has been hosting stargazing events since 2018. Soon after, CTMO and STARS became outreach partners. Together we organize and host astronomy-based community events.

STARS Workshops

We partner with local educational institutions like the Brownsville Public Library, Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge and Resaca De La Palma State Park to organize and host space science and astronomy oriented workshops. Join us at our next event!

STARS on Tap

Science never sleeps and it likes to party. For the 18+ crowd, STARS on Tap is an ideal place to meet local Physics and Astronomy educators, have a drink, and experience science debate at its finest. Check our roster to RSVP to the next event!
